3 Year Olds CIRCLE Program

The Circle Program is a wonderful tool used by our trained teacher, Miss Dora. Here the students are involved in engaging activities. From the moment they step into the room they must follow a routine. They will place their own name to take attendance and they will learn independence throughout the day. Here are the major components to the program.

  • Writing and Recognizing name
  • Rhyming words
  • Syllables in a word
  • Letters and sounds with the letter people
  • Literature time
  • Number of words in a sentence
  • Words that start with the same sounds
  • Working and playing at centers
  • Themes that correspond with the letter people
  • Music and songs that correspond with the theme and letter
  • Daily News

The three year olds will also learn math concepts during their circle time, such as counting, number work, and calendar time. They use math manipulative as well. The children will learn through experiences as they play at their centers.

Attached is the timeline of learning themes for the year. This will help you to understand what the children are learning about. It can also help to continue these ideas and themes at home.

The most important component of our 3 year old program is our Focus on God. The children are taught to love and that Jesus loves them. They learn songs and finger plays that teach them about God's love for them. In all that we do at St. Paul, this is the MOST important thing.
