Winter Texas Ministry


Reverend Norbert R. Wodtke has been serving the Winter Texan Community in Harlingen for 11 years; this year marks his 12th season with St. Paul. He leads worship every Sunday at the Tropic Winds Park, Lenten Worship at Dixieland Park each Wednesday during Lenten Season, and Bible studies at three other parks. Reverend Wodtke also gives special pastoral care to Winter Texans who are spending time in the hospital.

During the summer months, he and his wife, Mary Jo, live in Topeka, Kansas. They have four children and six grandchildren. In the past, Rev. Wodtke served congregations in Freeport Texas; Guthrie Oklahoma; Topeka, Kansas; and Olathe, Kansas. He retired from active ministry in 1990 and joined the staff of St. Paul Lutheran Church as the Winter Texan Pastor in 1996.
